Mohammad Shtayyeh struggled to convey his memories of a mother whose children perished in the midst of the Israel-Hamas conflict.

During a cabinet meeting, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh became emotional as he recounted the ordeal of a mother whose children were found buried under the debris in Gaza.

Unveiling a Tragic Reality

At a recent Palestinian Authority meeting, Mr. Shtayyeh had difficulty articulating his account of how children etched their names onto their own bodies to aid in the identification of their remains.

A Mother’s Unbearable Farewell

“The mother of the three children who were buried beneath the rubble told her children, ‘Allow me to see you, even in a dream,'” the prime minister sobbed.

Before proceeding, the 65-year-old appeared overcome with emotion and paused for an extended period to compose himself: “May mercy be upon the souls of the martyrs and shame upon the criminals.”

A Tumultuous Conflict

On October 7, Hamas terrorists unexpectedly attacked Israel, commencing the five-week battle.

Since October 7, Hamas-run Gazan health officials have reported nearly 10,000 deaths, two-thirds of them women and children.

Hamas killed nearly 1,400 people in the initial assault, prompting Israel to launch ground and air assaults in Gaza.

Mr. Shtayyeh further asserted that Amihai Eliyahu, the Israeli Minister of Heritage, was “not satisfied with 10,000 martyrs” and was suspended for suggesting that using a nuclear bomb on Gaza was “one of the possibilities.”

“He wanted to witness Hiroshima in Gaza,” further stated the Palestinian prime minister. “He wanted to see genocide accomplished with the nuclear bomb Israel possesses.”

Netanyahu called Eliyahu’s statement about the right-wing Otzma Yehudit party “not grounded in reality.”

Ongoing within the enclave of the Gaza Strip are ground operations involving Israel Defense Forces (IDF) personnel.

In recent days, air and ground operations have intensified, and the IDF claims to have eliminated several important Hamas commanders.

The Israeli Prime Minister has stated that his nation will have “overall security responsibility” in Gaza “indefinitely” following its conflict with Hamas, providing the clearest indication to date that Israel intends to maintain control over the territory.

Suella Braverman criticized for ‘lifestyle choice’ remark.
