Saturday night, one of the 18-year-olds became ill in Croy. The second adolescent then collapsed in the early hours of Sunday morning at the Glasgow venue. Both males were declared dead at the hospital.

The deaths of two adolescents who attended the same DJ event in Glasgow are being investigated as possible drug-related incidents, but they are not related.

A Police Scotland chief stated that there is “no evidence” linking the fatalities.

Unknown to each other, the 18-year-old males attended SWG3 on Saturday, where DJ Ben Hemsley was headlining.

The event took place in the venue’s Galvanisers Yard between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. The celebration continued indoors until 3 a.m. on Sunday.

Saturday around 11:20 p.m., one of the adolescents became ill in the Constarry Road neighborhood of Croy, North Lanarkshire.

Shortly after he arrived at University Hospital Monklands in Airdrie, he was pronounced deceased.

Sunday at approximately 2:20 a.m., a second individual collapsed at the venue.

He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in the city, where he was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.

Chief Superintendent Mark Sutherland, divisional commander for Greater Glasgow, stated, “Our sympathies continue to be with the families and friends of the two deceased men.

According to our preliminary investigation, both of these unrelated individuals attended the same event in the Eastvale Place neighborhood of Glasgow on Saturday night.

“However, investigations are ongoing, and while we are currently investigating both deaths as drug-related. There is no evidence to suggest a connection between these deaths.”

We are committed to establishing the full circumstances and are working with the venue, NHS colleagues, and Public Health Scotland to ensure a partnership and public health-led approach as our investigations continue.

A spokesperson for SWG3 previously stated, “We are devastated by the news, and we extend our deepest condolences to the families.

We will continue to assist law enforcement with their investigations.
