Following a decline during the Covid era, gonorrhea and syphilis sexually transmitted infections are at record high levels in England, according to new data.
People are urged to engage in secure sexual behavior and get tested if they may be at risk.

The UK Health Security Agency reported 82,592 gonorrhoea cases in 2022, up 50% from 54,661 in 2021.
Cases of syphilis rose by 15%, from 7,543 to 8,692.
