The army chief, General Julio Cesar de Arruda, has been fired. According to the Brazilian military’s official website. It follows concerns that army personnel permitted unrest to occur.

Concerned that the country’s democracy is in jeopardy due to an outbreak of far-right demonstrators. The president of Brazil has fired the country’s army chief.

According to the official website of the Brazilian military, General Julio Cesar de Arruda has been ousted from his position as army chief.

General Tomas Miguel Ribeiro Paiva, who led the Southeast Military Command, has replaced him.

Mr. Bolsonaro, who is in the United States for medical treatment, will be probed for alleged “instigation and intellectual authorship of the anti-democratic activities that ended in vandalism and violence,” according to prosecutors.
