Sunday, an avalanche occurred on the Armancette glacier to the southwest of Mont Blanc.
Sunday, French search and rescue teams discovered a sixth body following an avalanche.
The incident occurred southwest of Mount Blanc on the Armancette glacier. Local authorities have canceled the rescue mission because they are unaware of any other missing persons.
Two of the victims were mountain guides, while the other four, a young man and woman in their 20s and a couple in their 40s, were their patrons, according to local media.
Six skiers were off-piste near the village and ski resort of Les Contamines-Montjoie in southeast France when an avalanche occurred, according to Emmanuel Coquand, a spokesman for the French authorities.
One individual was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, while eight others were found unharmed.
Authorities have not officially disclosed information about the victims.
The 3,280ft (1,000m) long, 328ft (100m) wide avalanche occurred without notice.
According to authorities, the cause is under investigation.
