A 14-year-old girl has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a person was discovered dead in a house fire.
The incident occurred in Bedale Drive, Leicester, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The girl arrested in relation has now been released on bail while the inquiry continues.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service notified police at 4.08 am on Tuesday after discovering a body inside the property.
Officers have not revealed their identities or whether they are known to the girl.

Leicestershire Police said that additional people on the property underwent hospital treatment as a precaution.
Detective Inspector Michael Chandler of Leicestershire Police said: “This is an exceptionally terrible situation in which a person has sadly lost their life.
Our investigation is in its early stages, and we are keeping an open mind about what sparked the incident.
Police said they worked closely with the fire service to “determine the full circumstances leading up to the incident.”
