She opened her window to see what had occurred after hearing screams and circling helicopters.
A shooting in east London has resulted in the death of two individuals and the severe injury of a third.
Tuesday at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to a street in Ilford in response to allegations of a fight and gunfire.
Officers discovered three males who had been shot. A victim in his twenties was pronounced dead at the site, while a second victim died shortly thereafter.
The 30-year-old injured guy was sent to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police believe they know the name of the man in his twenties and are working to determine the identification of the other man slain in the Henley Road shooting.
Shamima Ahmed Khan, who lives nearby where the incident occurred, reported hearing screams and circling helicopters.
“When I opened my window to check what was going on, I saw a police cordon halfway down the street… I did not hear the gunfire since the helicopter was rotating, but I did hear cries.
“I believe extreme caution is required in this area,” she continued.
Kashif Patel, a neighborhood resident, stated that the use of firearms in the region was not uncommon and that he did not feel safe living there.
He told, “I do not believe that is a suitable environment to raise a family… If I were considering my mother or sisters, I would not want them to live in this unsafe region.”
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made, according to the Metropolitan Police.
According to authorities, armed officers were among those who reacted.
