According to the San Francisco Chronicle, San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies discovered four slain individuals in the 12700 block of Cabrillo Highway at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. A fifth person was evacuated from the site to the hospital. Three further bodies were discovered in a neighboring area.
The New York Times reports that there has been another mass shooting in California. It is second in two days, with at least seven victims in San Mateo County. Kira Klapper of NBC Bay Area reported that 67-year-old Zhao Chunli has been arrested. According to the report, several of the shooting victims were Asian farmworkers who were killed in two distinct places.
The sheriff’s office stated that there was no ongoing threat to the community, publishing a statement that read. “Chunli was taken into custody without incident, and the weapon was recovered in his vehicle. The purpose for the shooting is unknown at this time.”
