After committing to Feyenoord, Arne Slot has ruled out the possibility of becoming Tottenham’s manager. Spurs were intrigued by Slot, who has transformed Feyenoord since his arrival in the summer of 2021, winning the Eredivisie title this season, but the Dutch club confirmed Wednesday that he would not be leaving.
“I have heard numerous rumors about other clubs’ interest in signing me,” Slot said. “Although I am grateful, I desire to remain with Feyenoord and continue building upon what we accomplished last season. There is no transfer discussion, nor has there been, and yesterday’s meeting was solely for an extension. All discussions with the club have always been limited to this context. “I eagerly anticipate the upcoming season with Feyenoord.”
Tottenham considered making an offer to Feyenoord for Slot, who claimed the club’s first championship in six years this month. His agent, Rafaela Pimenta, encountered the Feyenoord general manager, Dennis te Kloese, on Wednesday.
Spurs are also considering Rben Amorim, the manager of Sporting, and Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou. This summer, Amorim has a buyout clause of €15 million. Before two weeks ago, Tottenham made it plain that they would not be pushing to hire Julian Nagelsmann.
