At Universal Studios Hollywood, the 55-year-old actor and his Fast-X co-stars raised money for the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project.
When asked about the potential impact of the writers’ strike on the franchise’s upcoming films. Diesel stated that it was “important” to support the writers during this time.
He stated, “I believe we are entering a very interesting era in which we will have to consider AI, and sooner or later we will have to ask these questions.”
The celebrity also stated that it was a “step forward” for the industry.
And I think putting the writers’ debate on the table is a step forward for all of us in every occupation to start anticipating or figuring out how we’re all going to adopt this new norm and new technology,” he said.
The strikes have damaged Stranger Things, Yellowjackets, and The Handmaid’s Tale.
The Union is demanding, among other things, higher pay, more writers per program, and less exclusivity on individual projects.
The writers’ strike has received widespread support from entertainment industry celebrities.
Tom Hanks supported the cause this week and called the sector a “evolutionary crossroads.”
Patricia Arquette stated that she admired “the writers and I understand what they’re fighting for.”
