Tom Sizemore’s doctors advise end-of-life care.

The actor, who starred in Saving Private Ryan, Heat, and Black Hawk Down, suffered an aneurysm at his Los Angeles residence on Saturday, February 18, and is in critical condition in intensive care, his manager says.

According to his manager, doctors have advised Tom Sizemore’s family to make an end-of-life decision and stated that there is “no further hope” for the actor.

Sizemore is best known for playing Tom Hanks’ sidekick in Saving Private Ryan. And an army ranger battalion leader in Black Hawk Down. Five Academy Awards were bestowed upon the film.

He also appeared in Strange Days and the 1995 criminal drama Heat and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 2000 for best actor in a miniseries or television film for his performance in Witness Protection.

His manager, Charles Lago, issued the following statement. “Today, physicians informed his family that there is no longer any hope and advised making an end-of-life choice.

On Monday, he stated that Sizemore’s family had requested privacy, adding: “They would like to express their gratitude for the countless messages of support and condolences that have been sent.

“This has been a difficult time for them.”

Throughout his acting career, Sizemore has struggled with substance addiction. As evidenced by his multiple arrests for DUI and drug possession.

In 2003, he was convicted of domestic violence against his fiancée Heidi Fleiss, and three years later. He pleaded no contest to using methamphetamine outside a motel.

In 2009 and 2011, he was detained for alleged domestic violence against his ex-wife.
