Less than two days after joining the social networking site, Johnny Depp has amassed 7.6 million TikTok followers. In his first message to followers following the verdict in his libel trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, he stated that they could “all move forward together.” Amber Heard has since responded.

Amber Heard has replied to Johnny Depp’s joining TikTok and gaining millions of followers after he won the libel case against her.

A week after the verdicts were handed down in the high-profile US lawsuit, Depp thanked his “treasured, loyal, and unshakable” followers for their support in a video posted to social media on Tuesday. He described himself as an “occasional thespian.”

The actor, who currently has 7.6 million Twitter followers, told his fans that they would “all go on together.”

In response to the video, a spokesman for Heard, 36, said, “As Johnny Depp argues he’s’ going forward,’ women’s rights are sliding backward.

“The verdict’s message to domestic violence victims is that they should be afraid to stand up and speak out.”

Despite Heard’s allegations of abuse throughout the six-week, on-camera trial, the jury determined that a column she wrote for The Washington Post about domestic violence was defamatory and awarded Depp $10.35m (£8.2m) in damages, even though he was not named in the article.

The jury awarded Heard $2 million (£1.5 million) in damages after she successfully argued that Depp’s lawyers defamed her by alleging her charges were “an abuse fake” designed to capitalize on the #MeToo movement.

Overall, the ruling was favorable for Depp, who claimed that Heard’s charges had a “seismic effect” on his life and business.

“From the outset, the purpose of this case was to expose the truth, regardless of the outcome,” he stated after the verdicts were rendered.

“Telling the truth was something I owed to my children and to all those who have provided me with unwavering support. I am at peace knowing that I have finally attained my goal.”

Heard expressed “heartbreak” and “extreme disappointment” in response to the verdicts, and she allegedly plans to file an appeal.

Instead of attending court for the verdict, Depp has been touring the United Kingdom with the musician Jeff Beck.

On Sunday evening, he reserved all 300 seats at a Birmingham curry house.

Following the actor’s trial, Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez was promoted to partner at her law company.

During the six-week trial held at the Fairfax County District Court in Virginia, Ms. Vasquez gained notoriety on social media for her occasionally intense discussions with defense witnesses.
