Severe thunderstorms are expected to be accompanied by frequent lightning, hail, and strong gusts, especially in southwestern England and Wales.
Motorists have been cautioned to expect more difficult driving conditions due to hail and spray from standing water, and commuters should also anticipate delays in rail service.
Homes and structures could be inundated by storms, which could also cause damage and short-term power outages due to lightning strikes and strong winds.
On Sunday, heavy showers and thunderstorms are anticipated to develop in southwest England before moving northward into portions of Wales and Northern Ireland.
Monday morning’s early hours are anticipated to see their departure.

And it appears that the wet weather will continue, with low pressure bringing unsettled conditions likely dominating the outlook for the following week.
Met Office deputy chief meteorologist Jason Kelly stated that the daily prognosis is currently uncertain, but added: “Each day, there will be a chance of showers or longer periods of rain in several regions of the country.
“It is probable that longer-lasting rains will further increase the probability of thunderstorms.
In some regions, most notably the southwest, precipitation totals will increase during the week.
